I went to an event once which had a coffee van in attendance with the brand Expresso which seemed a pretty cool mix of express and espresso. They are marketing themselves as a quick way to get coffee on-the-go.

Everyday someone comes into Starbucks asking for an espresso pronounced expresso. Sometimes multiple people.

I often wonder are they wanting the one-press drink super fast (it is challenging to be any quicker) or simply mispronouncing it. A solo or doppio espresso (single and double respectfully) isn't a rare drink to be ordered but it is relatively uncommon compared to Latte, Cappucinos, Americanos and Frappes.
