Customer was ordering an Iced Brown Sugar Oat Shaken Espresso expecting it to come with Cold Foam as per her description. I advised her it doesn't come with it and before I could even suggest the upsell of adding it, the customer argued that she always has it that way from other Starbucks.
All Starbucks and franchise partners follow strict Recipe Cards on how drinks must be made and presented. Sure, some locations with some baristas may vary from the brand ideal but I know the Recipe Card make no mention of cold foam being part of the drinks construction.
Finally got able to tell her she can add it additionally for an extra fee. She got her drink and seemed really happy with it, but she missed her train.
