The daily happenings of a Starbucks barista. The good, the bad and the ugly. Ever wondered what it is like to work in a customer-facing retail role especially as a barista in a coffee shop? The Diary of a Barista is a factual account of a barista's actual experience of customer human behaviour and the job itself! To avoid identification to the specific coffee shop(s) and/or barista(s), unlike a typical journal the events don't necessary correspond to the days they were published. They are randomised. Customer's first names - if mentioned - are made up, no notes are taken to the names given at the till (if at all). When possible to validate experience as genuine - such as other barista's on shift - this blog will also carry guest barista's experiences - but will not be segregated to named account posters.
