One of the annoyances of working as a barista at Starbucks is the simple misunderstanding customers have with drinks, and even with a drink as simple as an Americano, some people complain "where is the milk?"

An Americano is a black coffee.

You can request it with milk by asking for a "white Americano", "Americano with milk" or "Americano Mistro". I also determine phrases such as "regular coffee" or "standard coffee" as an Americano with milk. You can even request alternative milks too.

It has become such an issue at my branch of Starbucks, to prevent drinks coming back with annoyed customers, I have to clarify with customers that don't mention "black", "white" or "milk" whether they want it with milk.

Hardcore Americano drinkers get offended to be asked. Like really offended or really annoyed.
