I greet the next customer. This guy stares at me for 10 seconds then tries to create small talk. To be clear, he wasn't gazed at the digital menu boards... he was directly staring at me... You get a sense of the angle people are looking at and I am not that tall.

Err... I feel really uncomfortable with someone staring through my soul for 10 seconds. This is a seriously long time, more than it sounds... and there is a significant difference between looking into someones eyes for 10 seconds and staring! I'm not interested in any small talk or in depth conversation... just answer my question and tell me what you want to order.

To be fair to the guy, after he got his drink he went to speak to others in his group and he seemed really down to earth and a decent guy. I just don't know what the staring was all about.
