At Starbucks, we have 3 lid sizes for hot cups and 4 lid sizes/types for cold cups. For cold drinks, we have domed lids, a small straw lid and the most common strawless lid for Grande and Venti iced drinks.

Meet the strawless lid (it is actually called that)...

It is very similar to the hot cup lid with the biggest difference is it being just transparent instead of opaque white. People seem to get the square hole in the white hot lids is where you drink from, but most people don't seem to grasp there is a similar square hole in these cold lids.

Instead we are continuously asked "Can I have a straw?" or "Where are the straws?" Most certainly you can, especially for the price you have paid for that drink, but straws are rather unnecessary for these particular lids.
