A customer only wanted a white Americano... when asked for a name he shouted "No" so I look down to type in NO on the POS, raise my head to reassure the customer that its okay you don't need to give one... only to see him storming out like a bull in a china shop. Everybody stunned.

Maybe just having a bad day or week... what was really odd was the customer then decided to stare at me from outside for half an hour.

He isn't the first person to walk away when asked for a name, just the manner he did it and the follow up. So strange. Hope he is okay, nothing personal we have to request a name as part of the green apron service. Yawn.

The till remembers inputted names offering an autocomplete suggestions feature but this isn't linked to your payment card or drinks between transactions.
