I just opened, all lights on, A board out, shutter fully up, condiment bar out etc and instead of the customer doing the easy and obvious walking straight up to the till to order where I was positioned opposite, like normal people do, this customer walked around into the staff side to personally ask me if we are open... it isn't an open day for customers to be working behind the counter, but we are very open for customers who queue up and order the other side of the counter!
